Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Community Consultant Paediatrician to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team in Barking, providing care for babies, children, and young people. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work as the Named Doctor for Looked After Children and the Medical Advisor for Adoption & Fostering.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior medical support and guidance to a team offering care to babies, children, and young people across Barking & Dagenham.
- Work collaboratively with 4wte Consultant Paediatricians, 1wte Specialist Grade Doctor, 2wte Specialty Doctors, and 2wte Core/GP Trainees.
- Provide medical advice and treatment, liaising with external health providers and acute hospitals.
- Participate in the local Child Protection rota.
- Support and work alongside your peers in delivering care, while taking initiative when required.
- Contribute to the development of treatment models and care plans.
- Be a committed team player, fostering effective relationships with other healthcare professionals, social services, and agencies.
Qualifications:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- CCT or equivalent.
- Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Community Child Health.
